The place has a nice atmosphere.

We went to this restaurant last night and it was one of the best meals we have had in some time! The place is very popular so was quite crowded and all the food was delicious! I had the pappardelle with short rib and my wife had the shrimp saltimbocca, which was the best dish of the night! The service was also great and we ended the evening with a strawberry shortcake that was fresh, homemade and amazing! Overall, this is great restaurant but I do have to say that I was a little surprised at how full the restaurant was despite COVID. This place was fully booked, no separation of tables and everyone crowded in there closely with no masks on. If you are going to contract COVID, this will be a likely place to do it. I don't know if restaurants are required to have less patrons in Palm Beach county but this place was packed to capacity. No one seemed concerned, which was worrisome to us. They do have nice tables outside but we could not reserve one. Next time we will make our reservation in advance and sit outside to feel more comfortable. Only for this reason do I give it 4 stars but normally this would be a 5 star experience!

Great food good vibes

Great for NY style Italian. Large portions, heavy sauce and lots of breaded and fried. The food is tasty, fresh and really hearty. The wine list is extensive with very high quality selections.

I do not understand the rave reviews. I had driven by this restaurant many times, always making a mental note that I needed to dine here. So, for my “big” birthday, I finally made a reservation. As soon as we were seated, we were presented with a huge plate of tomatoes, which I assume was meant to be bruschetta. We also received a plate of bread (for the tomatoes) and bread which seemed to have bruschetta already on it. Although we would have also liked oil or butter, we found out we didn’t need it when the bread tasted stale. My meal started with a Caesar salad. The lettuce was similar to iceberg, and there was a bitter taste with every bite. For my entree, I ordered 2 lobster tails. I received 2 spiny lobsters, split in half in their shells, sautéed/grilled with hot spices. A bowl of crunchy, tasteless pasta accompanied the underwhelming lobster. Two of my dinner companions ordered pasta dishes, and although they were tasty, they were drowning in sauce. I had expected to try their “famous” strawberry shortcake, but was so disgusted, we left before ordering dessert. I won’t be returning!

Best restaurant ever!

We had a 6:30 reservation. We did not get our food for an hour. No manager or waiter apologized to us nor offered any compensation. They need to learn to not over book/seat if they can’t handle it. Then to make it worse 2 of the entrees came out almost 10 mins later & we’re wrong. I even said something to the waiter about the service when we asked for the check & still he didn’t get a a manger .Horrible. Will never go again.

Dining at its finest. Never disappointed. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the desserts were fabulous.

Got there about three, it wasn't crowded. I'll return with my coworkers. The bill was appropriate. Feels similar to a restaurant in New York I loved.

Great restaurant, excellent food and service. We sat outside and the closest table with people seated was probably 12 feet away. Granted it was a Sunday evening, but the restaurant handled everything very tastefully and with tact. Would definitely return and highly recommend.

Trattoria Romana in Boca Raton is one of the finest establishments in Italian Food. The Staff are always very courteous and make you feel like you are at home. Highly recommend!

Excellent food. A bit noisy. Very very warm inside the restaurant. Also now that I think about it, nobody was wearing a mask! During a time like this????? I hope they will see this and start following guidelines!

This place was good but I can't say great we've been trying to get into this place for the last few times we've been here and I can honestly say it was really good food but not great I've been to other Italian restaurants that were better. I got one of their signature veal dishes and thought that it was just okay. We ordered our food and literally within 10 minutes it was there to quick of service for a fancy restaurant like this. I felt like we were rushed. would definitely go back but I would not put this at the top of my list for restaurants to visit.

During this awful pandemic, the restaurants still open serve curbside delivery, ideally without requiring credit card signing on the spot. Trattoria Romana does it all just right. Two drive through lines of cars, with masked and gloved delivery people bringing terrific Italian food to your car. It will never equal the experience of dining in, but it's the same terrific food. This week, we enjoyed the Caesar salad with extra anchovies, fettuccine bolognese, linguini congole, broccoli rabe, and spinach. A wonderful dinner.

They're open for take out starting lunchtime. Eggplant delicious. Quality ingredients. Arugala salad simple satisfying. Friendly hostess.

Almost by accident we sat down for a dinner. Emma was our perfect server and she brought us some exceptional pasta dishes. A great dinner, well paid for.

Worst Osso Buco of my life and the waiter was nonchalant about it. Terrible, arrogant service. Waiter tries to secretly upsell you on overpriced daily specials and has an attitude when you ask for menu. Avoid!!!

Loved it here my first time and won’t be my last

Went there the other night for my brothers birthday. It was a Monday night and it was packed. The service is awesome, real old school high end Manhattan like. The food was very good, but pricey. If you are a wine drinker be prepared to spend quite a bit for a bottle, but fantastic selection. All in all we had a great meal and will definitely return for special occasions! The pappardella with short ribs was amazing!!!!!

Not sure how this restaurant has such a high rating... Firstly, we had a reservation for 7:00 and were not given a table till 7:30 and forced to stand in the entrance way while then being ridiculed by the hostess that we are in the way. The raw seafood platter did not taste fresh you could tell by the taste that it had been previously frozen. Additionally, the tomato based pasta that I ordered was extremely watery leaving the noodles to taste plain. I will admit the restaurant does have a nice wine selection and very fresh bruschetta. Overall, this place is not worth it and none of us will be returning. Save your money and go somewhere else! PS. this was in December but I am eating pasta with standard store bought tomato sauce that tastes 5 times better and reminded me of how awful this establishment is.

The vines in the ceiling was interesting and the waiter knew the menu, but there was way too many tables for the cramped space. You could barely walk with all the hustle and bustle. There is no parking, so valet is required. The food was meh at best, I could have done just as good myself at a tenth the cost. Way too over priced for what you get and the earliest they open is at 5:30 pm, no lunch. The servers also took away food without asking and seemed to be rushing us out.

This is one of the best italian restaurants in Boca Raton.
